When I logged in to LOTRO last night, CSTM’s fundraising drive for Child’s Play charity was just about $300 short of the $5000 goal. But sometime later, those last donations came in and as I was questing in the Trollshaws, I saw a message broadcast from Kiarane announcing that the goal had been reached. Hurrah!
So, the Fellowship met where it had left off at the Last Bridge for one last stroll: this time, all the way to Rivendell!
A Casual Stroll to Mordor’s Fellowship’s Walk charity drive continues to make progress, and last night Lennidhren caught wind of plans to advance from Weathertop to the Last Bridge – signifying the milestone of $3500 raised toward the $5000 goal. Amazing! So Lennidhren hurried to Weathertop to join in.
One thing’s for sure: A forty-minute walk through the Lone Lands, accomplished /follow-the-leader style, is conducive to frequent screenshotting. I took more pictures of this walk than I usually take at Ales and Tales – an event that can last as much as three hours counting the preparty. Here are a few highlights. The team at A Casual Stroll to Mordor, together with the Hobbiton Philharmonic and Eriador Music Society, put on a big party last night to give CStM’s Chid’s Play Charity fundraiser the final boost needed to move the fellowship out of Bree and on to their next stop at the Forsaken Inn. Lennidhren attended and enjoyed the music and dancing, starting with a set of LOTR songs and more from Eriador Music Society…
