Ales and Tales at Aerlinnbar

The Lonely Mountain Band’s kin house has a name: Aerlinnbar, the Home of…er, Hall of…oh bother, I can’t remember what it means, nor can I find it on the forums just now, but something about Song, fittingly enough. Is it just Hall of Song or am I missing something? Why can I never remember this? Apparently it is time for me to take an Elvish crash course. 🙂

Anyway, it was a hall of songs indeed as Ales and Tales gathered at the homestead this week.

Music

Lieren Hawkwinter played a Lullabye that made a lovely, stately dance tune.

Dancing

Still lacking a house band since the departure of the Eriador Music Society from Ales and Tales, we had a group dance to a tune of Rieslin’s about the caves of Gwaneth-dûm.

And another, to a tune from Aldekim.

Tales

Hanniel related a spooky story of a storm in Forochel, a vanished family, and a haunting in the snow…

Even the storyteller looks spooked by the tale!

From Aldekim, renowned poet and minstrel of Dale, we had a poem called “Erebor’s Lament“.

The evening finished with a hilarious tale of misadventure from poor Canathul, whose recollection of being burgled by a Hobbit and chased through the Shire in naught but his underwear by a troll was livened up with audience participation.

And more

It is not every week you see someone whipping up some cookie dough…or something…at an Ales and Tales!

‘Twas a special day – Galenswerd proposed a toast in honor of the birthday of C.S. Lewis, my favorite author, known to the denizens of LOTRO as Jack Lewisdown the Hobbit.

See you next week!

Those screenshots are wonderful! And I believe the LMB plugged it simply as ‘Aerlinnbar, the House of Songs’ so you’ve basically got it right!

Thanks for sharing the images, Linett!
