iheartapostates:

Dragon Age napkin portrait number five is Fenris, a character I am always trying to better understand. He is caught in the crossfire of almost every conflict in Thedas (mages, independence, slavery), and though it is entirely possible for Hawke never to meet Fenris, I couldn’t imagine the Champion’s story without him.

Sorry to explain myself, but it’s always a fight between the constraints of the napkin and how much I want to include! The bottom portion is intended to be a small glimpse into his family before the lyrium markings, his mother putting laundry on the line with Fenris and Varania playing in the courtyard. The top portion is Danarius returning to collect Fenris from the Fog Warriors.

Garrett, Varric, Aveline, and Marian were the first four portraits. 🙂
