#278 The Infernal Squad

Remember when Cassie was good and tender with our hearts? Yeah, me neither. Anyways, I decided to draw the amazing Victorian-era trouble-maklng/fixing squad cause they were my favourite example of a polyamorous relationship and they were soo pure, too tender and pure for this world.

Jem Carstairs, Tessa Gray and William Herondale to y’all. 😀

I can’t believe i owe you a whole month of my 365 days Challenge,  shameonmy Cow!!

“’This is the Great Library,’ said Will. ‘Every institute has a library, but this one is the largest of them all―the largest in the West, at any rate.’ He leaned against the door, his arms crossed over his chest. ‘I said I’d get you more books, didn’t I?’

Tessa was so startled that he remembered what he had said, that it took her several seconds to respond. ‘But the books are all behind bars!’ she said. ‘Like a literary sort of prison!’

Will grinned. ‘Some of these books are dangerous’ he said. ‘It’s wise to be careful’

‘One must always be careful of books,’ said Tessa, ‘and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.’

‘I’m not sure a book has ever changed me,’ said Will. ‘Well there is one volume that promises to teach one how to turn oneself into an entire flock of sheep-’

‘Only the very weak minded refuse to be influenced by literature and poetry,’ said Tessa, determined not to let him run wildly off with the conversation.”

How big a DA dork am I?  Am I such a dork that I now own all of the novels?

No.  Well I mean, obviously yes.  But this is how big a dork I really am:

I am the kind of dork that has multiple passages bookmarked for reference in each of the DA novels I’ve finished reading.

You are the best kind of dork, then, and I am right there with you. 🙂 (Except that I have them on Kindle, so the bookmarks are less obvious.)

I haven’t withdrawn books from the university library in so long, I felt vaguely guilty as soon as I’d left the building and all the way back to the flat because it feels like I’ve stolen the books :/ I was expecting the alarm to go off and everything.

I feel a little odd whenever I check out books from the library lately because I know, with all the fanfic I have in my to-read list, I’ll probably never get around to reading the poor paper books and am therefore just preventing someone else from the chance to read them…
