Posts Tagged 'mass effect'

Here is the picture I was working on yesterday 😀 I’m very tempted to not saying who it is (to see if he’s recognizable enough), but I won’t resist and tell you all about this. It’s all very random, so don’t expect any deep reasoning behind it XD
I’ve had the idea of drawing Fenris as “normal” human, no lyrium, no tattoos, just an ordinary hot guy. And then I thought, hey, why not put him in the Mass Effect universe? So this happened.

(The pose is a bit weird, but I like it so I’ll leave it like this.)

The background and t-shirt design aren’t mine. 😀

Bioware Coloring Books

Attention all Bioware fans!

Do you love to color? Do you love to create art? If so, I propose we create a fan-made (no profit) coloring book!

Every year there’s the Big Bang fic/art event that goes on. With the popularity of adult coloring books and the increasingly awful winter weather (at least, on the East Coast), wouldn’t it be fun to have a Mass Effect or Dragon Age (or other Bioware property) coloring book filled with fan art and activity pages?

We could have a maze page “Help the Inquisitor’s party find the Dread Wolf.” A connect the dots galaxy themed page. A mandala-esque coloring page where you color in Tali (her outfit is perfect for that) etc.

If anyone’s interested, let me know! We would compile a list of all the individual pages (maybe make it into a PDF too) for everyone to share and print out. We’d make sure every participant gets credit, too!

Thanks to the wonderful @kiramaesavestheworld for giving me this idea! Also, I have seen Dragon Age coloring pages in the past (, but I want to open this to all Bioware properties.

Who wants to participate?

REPOST: Turns out, the tracks didn’t export properly, and the last upload only had Samara’s poem. This is the proper version. *headdesk*

perahn answered your question “Writer’s block is still kicking my arse (sorry giveaway winners…), but…”

Well… if any of my poems (tagged ‘poetry’ on my tumblr, so original) take your fancy, I’d be hugely flattered… alternatively, you could give me a prompt and I could try to compose something for you?

@perahn, I hope I’ve done these justice.

Samara’s poem was an easy choice: she’s one of my favorites, and I have a giant weakness for villanelles. I always love the way they feel when read, the repeated lines weaving in and out. Anders’s poem sort of flowed on from this: both characters, so different in so many ways, are all white-hot anger and idealism, and I loved the use of dialogue in Mark 8:36. Blurred lines cleanly told:  fire and death and future hell blending with Anders’s ‘serenity’ and sublimation.

Plus, I got to see @onemooncircles art again.

As I say in the recording, I picked Lyrium lost for last because you said once that, out of all your pieces, this was the one you imagined being read aloud. And I am weak in the face of gorgeous compound imagery and alliteration. You do incredible things with hyphens,

(I really shouldn’t try to talk about poetry at 1am).

Sorry about the cats, too! They woke up and started chasing each other in noisy circles right as I was recording Anders’s piece. Seems almost as appropriate as it was annoying.

Mass Effect & Dragon Age data mining

Have you ever wondered if people choose similar love interests between Mass Effect and Dragon Age? If there’s a correlation? Thought that maybe the majority of Kaidan-mancers are also Solas-mancers, for example? Or if Zevran lovers are also Iron Bull lovers? No? Just me?

Well I’ve wondered about it a lot so I made a form to find out.

The form lists canonically available love interests for the PC from the two game series, the gender of your PC, and a breakdown of races for Origins and Inquisition.

If you’ve played both series and want to contribute your choices, please fill in the form and share it around! It’s a few pages long and should take about 5 minutes to complete. Feel free to fill it out even if you haven’t played all the games.

I’ll keep it open for a few weeks, then start to analyse and display the results in a bunch of pretty charts.

Normandy Crew Wallpapers  (more to come! later!) Can fit 1920 x 1080 resolution screens and smaller.

Please don’t remove credit thanks 🙂
